Robin and I have been working out of our first-floor office in Lajpat Nagar-1 for quite some time now. It’s right there at B-23. We handle architecture projects around New Delhi, mostly focusing on what people need for their homes or small shops. It’s just us and a small team trying to get the drawings right and making sure the builders understand the plans. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in here with all the paper rolls and blueprints stacked up on the desks, but we manage. People usually just drop by the office to talk about their house plans or if they need a renovation done in the neighborhood. We don’t really go for anything too fancy or complicated. We just focus on the actual work that needs to be done on-site. Robin spends a lot of time out at the construction spots, while I usually stay back to deal with the technical drawings and the paperwork side of things. It’s a busy life here in Delhi, and the traffic doesn't help when we have to visit clients across town. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the buildings around Lajpat Nagar over the years. We try to keep things straightforward and honest with everyone who walks through the door. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a local practice where we know most of our clients by name. We just want to do a decent job so people are happy with their space once it’s actually built.
