R. K. Books

We are located at 4215/1 on Ansari Road in Daryaganj. This area is pretty much the heart of the book trade, so there is never a dull moment. R. K. Books is a small, focused operation. We don’t have a massive staff or a sleek, glass-fronted office. Instead, we have rooms filled with books from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn't used to it, but we know exactly where everything is located. The building is old and shows its age, but it’s sturdy and serves our needs. We spend most of our time dealing with orders and checking our stock levels. Sometimes the dust from all the paper gets to you, but we just open the windows and keep moving. Daryaganj is a hectic place with narrow streets and lots of traffic, but we’ve grown to love the pace of it. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or marketing campaigns. We just focus on the books we have and the people who want to read them. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years, so we know their names and what they like. We handle things in a very traditional way, without too many complicated systems. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We like the independence of being a local business in such a historic area. It's a crowded life, but there's always something new to read on the shelves.
