Our workspace is tucked away inside Hotel Rajdeep on Rewa Road in Satna. It might feel a bit strange to some people that we are in a hotel building, but it works fine for what we do. We keep the usual supplies on hand and have a few old calendars hanging on the walls. New visitors sometimes take a minute to find the right door, but the hotel sign is a good landmark for them. The main lobby can get crowded with people traveling, but our area is just for business. We spend most of our hours coordinating between the production plants and the folks who need the cement. Every now and then the power goes out, which is a common thing around here that we’ve learned to deal with. We just wait for the generator to kick in or take a short break until the lights come back on. It is a very practical way of getting through the day. We don’t bother with slogans or big posters.
