If you look for Shop No. 2404 in Gali Pahiya Wali, you will find us right there. We are in the Teliwara area of Sadar Bazar, which is probably one of the most crowded places you can find. P. L. Sharma & Sons has been a family-run spot for a couple of generations now. The shop is small, but we use every inch of the walls and even the ceiling to hang our goods. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than two customers come in at once. We have all sorts of stories from the years we have spent in Sadar Bazar. The market has its own soul, and Gali Pahiya Wali is a big part of that. We know the other shopkeepers and we often share news over the low walls of our stalls. We don't use any high-tech systems here. Everything is done with a pen and a paper pad. It’s worked for us so far, so we don't see a reason to change it. My sons are now taking over much of the daily heavy lifting, which gives me more time to talk to the regulars. We don't have any big promises or mission statements. We just try to have what people need at a fair price. It’s a busy, loud, and sometimes exhausting life in the bazaar, but we wouldn't know what else to do with ourselves. We stay open until the last customer leaves.
