Working out of B-28, Sindhu Nagar in Krishna Nagar, our Lafarge India office is a pretty standard setup for this area. It’s a busy neighborhood and we fit right in with the other local businesses around here. We aren't here to put on a show; we just handle the distribution and sales side of things for the building materials. Most of the time, the office is filled with the sound of someone typing or a delivery driver asking for directions. We’ve got a small team here, and we all know each other’s coffee orders by heart. It’s the kind of place where things are a bit cluttered because there’s always something happening with a new construction project nearby. We see a lot of the same faces coming through the door, which is nice. The building itself is older, but it serves our purpose just fine. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re too busy looking at delivery schedules and inventory lists. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the window until it comes back, watching the traffic on the street. It’s a practical way to spend the day. We take care of the paperwork so the builders don’t have to worry about the logistics too much. It’s a steady job in a lively part of town, and we like it that way even when it gets a bit hectic.
