J.K.Lakshmi Cement Ltd.

We have been here in Ajmer for a bit now, specifically over in G-5, Shalimar Colony. Adarsh Nagar is a busy enough area and finding the office isn't too hard once you get your bearings. It’s mostly just a desk and some chairs where we handle the J.K.Lakshmi Cement side of things. People come by asking about prices or when the next truck might show up from the plant. It gets pretty dusty, as you’d expect with cement, but we keep the fans going to deal with the Rajasthan heat. It isn’t some fancy high-rise setup. We just focus on getting the orders recorded and making sure the supplies get where they need to go. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's quiet enough to actually get some paperwork done without interruptions. Most of us have been around here for years, so we know the local contractors pretty well by now. We don't have a big sign out front or anything, just the usual office door. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to keep things moving. We don't really do much besides the day-to-day logistics of the cement. If a truck is late, we are the ones hearing about it. That's just how the business goes in this part of town. We try to stay organized but things get messy during the peak season when everyone is building something new.
