Jk Lakshmi Cement Ltd.

This office is up on the 4th floor of Nehru House. It’s located at Plot No. 4 on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, which is a really busy area in Vikram Nagar. If you look out the window, you can see the traffic on Maharao Krishna Marg moving all day long. Even though we are part of Jk Lakshmi Cement Ltd, the daily life here is just us sitting at our desks and taking calls. It’s not like the factories where the actual cement is made. We handle the paperwork and the logistics from here in Delhi. The elevators in this building sometimes take a while, especially during the lunch hour when everyone is heading out. We’ve got a lot of files and maps of where the trucks are supposed to be going. It’s a lot of coordination. You wouldn’t think cement involves so much typing and phone calls, but it really does. Most of us have been working here for a long time and we know the neighborhood well. There are some good places to grab tea nearby when we need a break from the screens. The address is quite a mouthful when you have to tell someone over the phone. Nehru House is an old landmark around here though, so most people find us eventually. We just keep things moving along and try to stay on top of the orders that come in from all over the region.
