Dharam Building Material

Our yard is in Shiv Market, over in Wazirpur near Ashok Vihar. It’s mostly piles of sand, gravel, and bags of cement stacked high. We have a small cabin where we do the billing and sit when it’s raining outside. The ground is usually uneven because of all the heavy trucks coming in and out. We’ve been here in the village area for quite some time now. People building houses nearby come to us for their supplies. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around manually. We use old shovels and the cement bags are quite heavy. Sometimes the delivery truck breaks down and we have to fix it right here on the spot. It’s not a clean job, you’re definitely going to get some dirt on your clothes if you hang around here for too long. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’re right here in the neighborhood when people need us. The sun can be brutal in the middle of the day, so we take a long break then. We keep a stack of bricks near the gate for people who only need a few for a small repair. Most of the time it’s big loads going out to construction sites. We just write everything down in our books and keep moving. It’s a simple business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a place to get what you need to build something.
