Bishamber Dayal & Sons

Bishamber Dayal & Sons is located at Shop No G 45 on Lawrence Road. We are right in the middle of the Wazirpur Industrial Area, which is a very noisy and hectic place to work. Being near Keshav Puram means there is always a line of trucks waiting to move through the narrow streets. Our shop is where we handle hardware and metal parts. It has been a family business for a long time, and you can tell by the way the place looks. The floors are concrete and stained with oil, and there is a thick layer of dust on the higher shelves that we can’t reach easily. We don’t have a fancy showroom. People come here when they need specific parts or tools for their own work. We spend a lot of time moving heavy boxes around and checking our inventory by hand. The office part is just a small desk in the corner with a very old telephone and a stack of ledgers. We prefer writing things down on paper rather than using computers for everything. My sons and I run the place together, and we usually have tea brought in from the stall down the road twice a day. It is hard work and the summer heat in the industrial area can be brutal, but we are used to it by now. We just keep the shop open and help the regulars who have been coming to us for decades.
