Our office is at Plot No-4760-61/23 on Ansari Road in Daryaganj. It is a busy part of town, always lots of people and cars moving around outside. We have been in this building for quite some time now. Mostly, we handle international titles and a lot of academic stuff for students. The rooms are filled with boxes and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It is a bit of a squeeze when we get a big shipment in from abroad. We do not really have a showroom, it is more of a functional workspace where we process everything and get it ready. We spend a lot of time on the computer or checking through long inventory lists. It is not very glamorous work, but it needs to be done right. We do not go in for big speeches about what we do. We just focus on getting the books sorted and sent out to where they need to go. Daryaganj is an interesting place for this kind of business because everyone knows it is the main hub for books. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets flooded, but we just deal with it and keep going. We have a small staff and we have all worked together for years. It feels more like a workshop than a corporate office. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the stacks from falling over. It is a solid place to work, even if it gets loud outside from the market traffic.
