Unicorn Packers & Movers

Operating out of Kashmiri Colony on Indira Gandhi Marg keeps us pretty busy every day. We are located right across from the Ojus Computer Center, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. Unicorn Packers & Movers is basically a place where we manage a lot of cardboard boxes, rolls of tape, and thick blankets. Moving houses is a messy business, and our office usually reflects that with stacks of packing material in the corner. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with the guys on the trucks and making sure they found the right address. The street outside can get quite narrow, so parking the big lorries is always a bit of a headache. We started doing this because there are always people moving in and out of Dehradun for work or school. It’s hard work, lifting heavy wardrobes and making sure nothing breaks on the bumpy roads around here. Most of our day is spent sweating in the warehouse or sitting at the desk trying to keep the logs straight. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that; usually, whoever is closest to the phone just picks it up. It’s a noisy environment with the sound of tape dispensers and engines running, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We’ve been in this spot for a while and know most of the shopkeepers who work nearby.
