Sara Holiday Trip

We’ve been running Sara Holiday Trip from our office at Maya Plaza on Chakrata Road for a while now. Garhi Cantt is a pretty busy spot, especially in the mornings, so we see a lot of folks coming in to talk about where they want to go next. It’s mostly just us sitting here with some old computers and phones, trying to figure out train tickets or hotel rooms for people who don't want to deal with the apps themselves. Sometimes the internet is slow, or a booking gets stuck in the system, but we stay until it’s sorted out. We know the roads around here pretty well, especially going up towards the hills. People come in asking about prices for taxis or if a certain hotel is actually clean and worth the money. We just tell them what we know from what other travelers have told us. It’s not a fancy setup, just a small office with some desks and a couple of plastic chairs for people to sit while we print their vouchers. Usually, it stays busy throughout the day with people calling to check if their bus is on time or if we have any updates on the weather. Being right here on the main road makes it easy for locals to just drop by after work. We keep a paper diary of bookings on the main desk and try to keep things organized. It’s a lot of talking and checking schedules over and over. That's pretty much what we do every single day without much change.
