The Kumar Holidays

The Kumar Holidays is located at 204, Swaraj Palace, which is in the Rajpur area of Dehradun. We are right opposite Hotel Madhuban, so that makes us pretty easy to spot if you are driving by. I have been working here for a while now, and the office is usually a mix of papers and travel brochures. We don’t really go for the high-end office look. It’s more of a practical space where we sit down and figure out holiday plans for families or individuals. Most of our day is spent talking to hotels and checking transport options. Swaraj Palace is a decent building and we like being in this part of town. It feels central enough for people to reach us. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the work. We handle a bit of everything, from quick weekend getaways to longer vacations. I usually make a pot of tea in the morning and start going through the emails. There’s no big sales pitch here. We just tell people what is available and what the costs look like. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us making sure everything is booked right so there are no headaches later on. If you’re around Rajpur, you can just walk in. We’re usually here until late evening most days of the week.
