Subrata Ghorai

My name is Subrata Ghorai, and you can find me at I-66, Sharamohall in Garhi. I’ve been operating from this spot for a while now. It’s a pretty basic setup, just a single room where I keep my things and do my daily tasks. Garhi is a decent place to be, though the roads can get a bit dusty during the dry season. I start my day by opening up the windows to let some air in, even if it brings a bit of noise from the street. The furniture I have is mostly mismatched. There’s a metal chair that I’ve had for years and a small table that barely fits my ledger and lamp. I don’t have a team of people working for me. It’s mostly just me looking after everything from start to finish. I keep a calendar on the wall with some scribbled notes about what needs to happen each week. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, and I just sit on the porch until it comes back. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass doors. It’s just a practical space where I put in my hours. I have a few potted plants on the ledge that I try to keep alive, though I forget to water them sometimes. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here, and I’m fine with that. I usually finish up when the sun goes down and head home.
