Iit Institute

Iit Institute is housed within the Central Building Research Institute area here in Roorkee. It’s a place that feels very tied to the history of the town. When you walk through the grounds of the Central Building Research Institute, you notice the old trees and the brickwork that has been there for years. We are part of that environment. It’s not the kind of place with bright neon signs or modern glass walls. Instead, it’s solid and functional. We spend our days in the rooms here, working through whatever needs to be done. Roorkee has a specific rhythm, especially around the research areas. There’s a lot of quiet thinking and steady work going on. Our space inside the building is simple. We have the usual desks, chairs, and books. It gets a bit cold in the winter months, so we keep some sweaters handy. The windows look out onto the campus greenery, which is a nice break for the eyes. People here at Iit Institute are mostly focused on their own tasks. We share the hallways with researchers and staff from various departments. It’s an academic sort of atmosphere without being too stiff. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just exist here within the research institute's walls. It’s a landmark in Roorkee, so most people know where to find us even without a map. We just keep doing what we do.
