Narayana Holidays

Narayana Holidays is tucked away in Gangotri Vihar. Our address is K-5/3, which is a bit of a quieter area compared to the main ghats. It’s more of a residential feel over here. We do holiday planning, but it's not like those big companies you see on the internet. It’s mostly just us sitting in the office and trying to figure out the best routes and stays for people who want to see the mountains or the river. Gangotri Vihar is a nice place to work because you can actually hear yourself think. We don't get as many walk-ins as the shops on the main road, so we spend a lot of time on the phone or responding to messages. The office is small and doesn't have any flashy signs. We have a few pictures on the wall and some notebooks where we keep track of everything. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. We know the local roads and the hotels because we live here. When someone asks for a holiday plan, we just think about what we would do if we were going. It’s not about selling some expensive package; it’s more about making sure people have a decent place to sleep and a way to get there. We just take things one day at a time and try to stay busy during the travel seasons. It’s a quiet life, but we like helping people see the area we call home.
