If you know where MKP PG College is on New Road, then you’ve probably passed by our place. We are right opposite the college at number 7. It’s a lively spot because of all the students walking around, especially during the afternoons when classes let out. At Journeys Tours & Travels, the office is usually filled with the sound of the printer going off or someone talking on the landline. We’ve got a couple of old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their itineraries to get printed. Dehradun has changed a lot, but this street still feels the same as it did years ago. We handle a lot of the local transport stuff and help people get their train tickets sorted out. It's not a glamorous job, mostly just checking dates and making sure the names are spelled right on the forms. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break for a few minutes. We don’t really do much advertising; people just seem to find us because we’ve been in this building for a long time. The view from the window is mostly just the college wall and the street vendors selling snacks. It’s a bit cramped inside when more than three people come in at once, but we make it work. We try to keep things organized, even if the filing cabinet is a bit rusty and hard to open.
