Globalrahee is right in the middle of everything in Patel Market on Rajpur Road. We are very close to the Clock Tower, which is probably the most famous landmark in Dehradun. Because of where we are, it’s always crowded and there’s always something going on outside. Our office is tucked into the market, so you have to weave through the shoppers to find us. It’s a busy little space where we manage travel plans for all sorts of people. We get a lot of walk-ins because of the location, so we’re usually quite busy during the day. We have a couple of computers and a lot of brochures from different places, though they mostly just sit in a pile. The sound of the market is constant, with people shouting and horns honking all day long. We’ve been in Patel Market for a good while and have seen many shops come and go. Our setup is pretty standard—a few desks, some chairs, and a map of the world on the wall that's a bit faded. We spend a lot of time on the computer looking up flights or hotel availability. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s interesting because you never know who is going to walk in next. We don't try to be anything we aren't; we just provide a place for people to figure out their next journey. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, but that’s Rajpur Road for you.
