Frame Four

Our shop, Frame Four, is situated on Dalhouse Road. We are quite close to the Arya Boy School, so we see the students walking past every afternoon. The shop itself isn't very large, but we've managed to fit all our tools and materials inside. The walls are covered with different types of wood and samples we’ve collected. There’s always a bit of sawdust on the floor no matter how often we sweep it up. It’s just part of the job. We spend most of our time at the back where the light is better for detail work. The front window gets a lot of sun in the mornings, which makes the whole place feel warm. We’ve been here for a while, and most of the people who come in are regulars from the local neighborhood. It’s a quiet part of the road compared to the main junction, which is good for us. We don't have a computer system or anything; we still write everything down in a big ledger we keep under the counter. It might seem old-fashioned to some, but it works fine for us. Sometimes we leave the door open to get a breeze, and you can hear the bells from the school ringing. It’s a steady pace of work, and we don't feel the need to rush things. We just do what needs to be done every day and keep the place running while we wait for the next frame to dry.
