Discover Uttranchal

We run Discover Uttranchal from H-No. 150 near Ajabpur Chowk. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you are familiar with Dehradun City. We are located right near Dayanshor Park, which is a nice little landmark to give people when they are looking for us. The area around Ajabpur is usually quite active, but our street is tucked away just enough to not be too crazy. I’ve lived in this house for a long time and decided to start the business here because it’s convenient. Dehradun 248001 is home for us. The office is just a front room filled with brochures and some old photos of the mountains. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people who want to see the sights around Uttranchal. Since we are local, we know all the spots that aren't on the regular maps. I usually have tea with the neighbors in the afternoon while waiting for the next call to come in. It’s a very relaxed way of doing things. We don't have a staff of twenty people, just a few of us who know the area well. Sometimes the internet is slow, so we just do things the old-fashioned way. The park nearby is great for a walk when the office feels a bit cramped. We aren't a big corporation, just some local folks helping others discover what’s around here. It’s a simple life and a simple business, really.
