Colonels Camps & Tours

Colonels Camps & Tours is situated at 161/7 on Rajpur Road in Dehradun. It is a very busy street, as anyone living in 248001 knows. We have our office here and we spend most of our time planning trips and talking to folks about camping. The space we have is not huge, but it works for us. It gets a bit loud with all the buses and cars going past on Rajpur Road. Sometimes we just sit and have tea while we wait for the next person to walk through the door. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone like that. It is just a few of us. We know this part of town very well. If you are looking for our shop, it is tucked in there between some other local businesses. We often have gear and bags stacked up in the corner. Planning these tours takes quite a bit of effort, and we do most of it by hand or on our old office computer. It feels more real to do it that way. People come to see us because they want to get away from the noise of the city. We try to keep things simple and give them the facts. No fancy talk or sales pitches here. The roof leaked a little last monsoon, but we got it patched up. That is just part of running a local business on a main road. We keep at it every day.
