Our office is on Bell Road, right near the Satyanarayan Mandir in the Clement Town area. You can often hear the bells from the temple during the day, which is a nice background sound while we are working. We have been here for a while, and the place has a bit of a lived-in feel to it. There are stacks of papers that probably should have been filed away months ago, and the furniture is a bit mismatched. It is a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it is answering the door or sorting out the accounts. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few photos from the last office party. The work is steady, and we mostly deal with local clients who know where to find us. Sometimes the traffic on Bell Road gets backed up, making it a bit of a pain to get in and out, but that is just life here. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background while we go through the daily tasks. It is a very grounded atmosphere, nothing like those high-pressure offices you see on television. We take our tea breaks seriously and like to chat about whatever is happening in the neighborhood. It is a simple, honest way to make a living, and we are quite content with the way things are set up here. The afternoon sun comes in through the window and makes the room quite warm.
