We have been running Bhatnagar Tours & Travels out of our spot in Maya Kund for a good number of years now. Rishikesh is a place that never really stays quiet, and being here in Maya Kund means we are right in the middle of it all. Most of the time, our day starts early with checking the vehicles and making sure the drivers showed up on time. It is not a very big operation, just a few of us making sure people get where they need to go without too much trouble. We handle a lot of local trips and sometimes longer ones into the hills if that is what someone wants. The roads around here can be tricky, especially when the rains come or during the big festivals, but we have lived here all our lives so we know how to handle it. You won't find any flashy signs or big corporate desks here. We just have a small space where we sit and talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the tea runs out and we have to send someone to the corner shop, but usually, we are ready to chat. We don't promise anything fancy, just a ride and someone who knows the way. It’s just honest work. We see travelers from all over, some looking for peace and others just passing through to the mountains. We like it this way, keeping things local and simple.
