We have been over here at 8-1-2 Tilak Nagar for a while now. Shemrock School is just a part of the neighborhood in Durgigudi. Most mornings start early with the gates opening and kids running around. It gets pretty loud, but that is how it is when you have a school in the middle of a residential area. We don't have fancy fancy offices or anything like that. Just some classrooms and a yard. People around Tilak Nagar know us because they see the parents dropping their little ones off every day. The building itself is just a regular spot on the street. We try to keep things tidy, though sometimes there are stray pencils or paper scraps in the hallway by noon. It's a busy place. Teachers are usually rushing from one room to another with books. Some of the families have been sending their children here for years. It’s funny how the siblings look just like their older brothers or sisters who left a decade ago. Durgigudi is a good spot for us. We are just down the way from the local shops. If you walk past 8-1-2 Tilak Nagar, you’ll probably hear someone practicing their ABCs or just playing during the break. It is not a quiet place, but it feels right for what we do. We mostly just focus on getting through the lessons and making sure everyone gets home okay at the end of the day.
