Sri Aurobindo Pre University( Ind) College

Sri Aurobindo Pre University( Ind) College is out on the Jnanadeepa Campus. We are right on NH-13, near the 515 Km stone in Shimoga. Karnataka is beautiful, and this area has a lot of green, but being out on the highway means we are a bit far from the main town center. The 577227 area code is where we belong. The campus is fairly spread out, and you can hear the birds in the morning before the traffic on the Nh-13 really picks up. It is a quiet place mostly, except for when the buses arrive. We have simple buildings that have been around for a while. There is a lot of walking involved to get from one side to the other. The stone markers on the road are how most people find us because the highway stretches on for quite a bit. It’s a practical location for a college because there isn't too much distraction from the city noise, though the occasional truck horn from the road reminds you where you are. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and old windows that let the breeze in. It is not a polished, modern facility with air conditioning in every corner. We just have the trees and the open space. It feels like a real place for students to just sit and focus on their books without any of the flashy stuff you see elsewhere.
