Gandhi Nagar is mostly a quiet residential area, so we fit right in with the houses and small shops nearby. Our space is pretty basic, just some rooms with whiteboards, rows of wooden benches, and shelves full of old textbooks that have seen better days. The floors are tiled but have a few cracks here and there from years of feet moving around. We don’t have any fancy decorations, just a few charts on the walls that explain basic grammar or math problems. During the afternoons, the place fills up with the sound of pens scratching on paper and the low murmur of someone explaining a difficult concept. We keep the windows open when the weather is nice, so you can hear the birds or the occasional vegetable vendor shouting on the street. It can get a little cramped when everyone shows up at once, and we sometimes have to pull in extra stools from the storage cupboard. There’s a small desk near the entrance where we keep the registers, and the ink always seems to run out at the wrong time. We spend our evenings here, mostly under the glow of some flickering tube lights, making sure everything is ready for the next day's groups. It’s a simple setup, and we like that it feels more like a home than a formal office or a big institution. We just focus on the books and the desks in this part of town.
