Our operations are based out in Nankar, Jagatpur. We work from the property of Kanhu Charan Mohanty. It’s a familiar spot for people in this part of the district. The brick business is steady work, though it’s definitely not easy. We spend most of our time out in the open air, dealing with the stacks. Jagatpur is a busy place, and we fit right in with the industrial vibe. There’s always a bit of smoke and dust in the air around a brick kiln, but you get used to it after the first week. We keep things pretty straightforward. There are no fancy offices or people in ties here. Just regular workers in boots and rough clothes. My brother handles some of the local coordination while I look after the actual yard work. Sometimes the equipment acts up, and we have to spend half the day fixing a conveyor or a truck. It's all part of the daily routine. We don't have a big marketing department. We just rely on the fact that people need bricks and we have them ready at our Nankar site. It’s been this way for a long time. We try to keep a good rhythm going so the piles don’t sit for too long. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going and pays the bills. Sometimes we stay late when the weather is good.
