Omm Laxmi Fly Ash Bricks

We are located near the Main Road in a small village called Khuntuni, which falls under the Gurudijhatia Tehsil. Our business is Omm Laxmi Fly Ash Bricks and we spend our days making bricks out of the ash that comes from the power plants. It is quite a process and requires a lot of space, which is why being out here in the village works well for us. The site is mostly open ground with piles of raw material and finished bricks stacked in high piles. It gets very hot out here and there isn't much shade except for the small roof over the brick-making machine. We have a few workers from the village who come in every morning to help with the molding and the loading. The road leading to the site can get a bit bumpy, especially after the heavy rains. We have to keep a close eye on the weather because if it gets too wet, we can't dry the bricks properly. It’s a quiet area mostly, aside from the sound of our equipment and the occasional tractor passing by. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just a small stool and a table under a tree where we talk to customers. Most of the people who buy from us are building small houses or boundary walls in the nearby districts. It’s hard work and your clothes are never really clean when you head home at the end of the shift.
