Gopal Fly Ash Bricks

Our yard is tucked away in Village Subhadrapur, which is part of the Balikuda tehsil. It’s a real quiet place to work compared to the big cities. You have to drive past a lot of green fields and farms before you see our stacks of grey bricks piled up. Gopal started this business because he saw that people around here needed better materials for their homes. We aren't running a massive factory or anything like that. It’s just a small group of us who know how to work the machines and move the pallets. The fly ash comes in on big trucks and we get straight to work processing it. Sometimes the kids from the village come around to watch, and we have to tell them to stay back for safety. During the monsoon season, the ground here gets incredibly soft and muddy. There are weeks where we can’t do much of anything because the trucks would just get stuck. But when the weather is good, we are out there from the first light of the sun. We don't bother with websites or social media. Most folks find us just by talking to their neighbors. They see a new wall going up and ask where the bricks came from. Then they show up here at our gate. We just give them a price and help them load up. It is a simple way to live and work out here in the country. It is what it is.
