J.D. Bricks

You can find J.D. Bricks at Plot No. 499 in Sanamundali Village. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We’ve got the land and the materials all in one spot. The village life suits the business well. Most days are spent out in the open, dealing with the mud and the sun. It’s a physical job, no doubt about it. We start when the light comes up and keep going until we’ve hit our count for the day. My team is small, mostly guys from Sanamundali who have been doing this for years. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big sign. The pile of bricks out front usually tells people they’re in the right place. We deal with a lot of local contractors who just need a reliable supply. Sometimes the clay isn't exactly right and we have to adjust, which can be frustrating. We talk about the local news while we work to pass the time. The road to the plot can get a bit muddy when it rains, making it hard for the bigger trucks to get in and out, so we spend time maintaining that too. It’s a lot of little jobs on top of the main one. We don't have a fancy office, just a small corner where we keep our tools and a notebook for tracking what goes out. It is just a regular life here, working with our hands. We’ve been at this for years and don't plan on changing much.
