Brilliant Nursery & Primary School

Down in Sivasubramaniam Nagar, our school has been a part of the Chidambaram neighborhood for a good while. It’s a nursery and primary setup, so there are always kids running around the place. The building isn't anything massive, but it’s got enough rooms for the different classes we run. You’ll hear the kids reciting their lessons if you walk by in the morning. We have a small area where they play during the breaks, which gets pretty loud sometimes. The teachers here are mostly from around this area, so everyone kind of knows everyone else. It makes for a friendly atmosphere even if things get a bit chaotic when the bell rings at the end of the day. We don’t have high-tech gadgets in every room, just the usual benches, blackboards, and books that you’d expect in a local school. The walls have some drawings the kids did, and we try to keep the place tidy, though with young children that's a constant battle. Parents stop by the gate to chat after dropping their little ones off. It’s just a normal, everyday school where we try to teach the basics and make sure the children are safe while their parents are at work. We focus on reading, writing, and some basic math without making things too complicated for the younger ones. It is a simple place that works for the families in this part of town.
