Aruna Nursery And Primary School

Down in Sendanadu, our little school Aruna Nursery and Primary has been part of the landscape for some time. Villupuram is a quiet enough place, and we fit right in. It is just a basic building where kids from around the area come to learn their basics. We don't have marble floors or air conditioning in every room. It is just classrooms, desks, and a lot of chalk dust. The teachers here are mostly locals who have been with us through many batches. You see the kids walking in every morning with their bags, and it reminds you why this place exists. It is hard work keeping everything running, especially when the weather gets hot. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the children are okay. Some of the parents went here themselves years ago, which is nice to see. It feels like a small community inside these walls. We have a small yard for them to run around during the break. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic during lunch, but that is expected with primary schoolers. We are just a regular school in a regular part of town. No fancy bells or whistles here. Just teaching, some playing, and getting through the school year one day at a time. It keeps us all busy, that is for sure. We just try to do our jobs and hope the kids take something good home with them.
