Vikashni Beauty Salon & Bridal Studio

You’ll find us at V L B Hall, number 408 on Crosscut Road in Gandhipuram. It’s a busy spot in Coimbatore, right across from Josco Jewellers. This place is both a beauty salon and a bridal studio, so things can get pretty intense, especially during the wedding season. We have families coming in with all sorts of requests. There’s a lot of makeup, hair styling, and traditional dressing going on in the back rooms. The front of the shop is more for the everyday walk-ins. It’s a noisy street outside, so there’s always the sound of horns and traffic filtering through the door. Inside, we try to keep things moving. We’ve got a lot of different products on the shelves and sometimes it’s a struggle to keep them all organized. The staff is usually busy from the moment we open the shutters. We don’t really have a mission or anything like that. We just want to make sure the pins stay in the hair and the makeup doesn't smudge before the ceremony starts. It’s a lot of pressure sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We take our tea breaks when we can and just keep going until the last client is done. It’s a real, hardworking environment without any of that corporate polish. We just deal with the reality of running a shop in a very busy part of town. Sometimes it's messy, but we always get through the day's work eventually.
