Abis Beauty Parlour

Our parlour is right in the Abinaya Comolex over in Udayampalayam. If you know where the Mariayamman Kovil is, we are just directly opposite that temple. It’s a good spot in Coimbatore, easy for people to find when they are out doing their daily tasks. The shop itself is pretty modest. I put out a few chairs and some basic supplies to help local ladies with their hair and skin. I don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us working through the day. The 641028 area is where I grew up, so I know most of the people who walk through the door. It’s not like those glossy places in the city center. We keep the walls painted a simple color and make sure there’s enough light to see what we are doing. Sometimes the temple bells are quite loud, but it’s a nice sound to work to. We do things the old-fashioned way here. No big marketing or anything. If someone likes their haircut, they tell their sister or friend, and that is how we stay open. I like it this way. It feels more like a community than a business. We usually open up early before the sun gets too hot. There is no need for anything fancy when you just want a decent job done by someone you know.
