Akila Beauty Parlour

Akila Beauty Parlour is located over on 1st Street in Ramalingam Colony. We’re right by Sriavanashilingam Hsc, so we see a lot of students and teachers coming through. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main roads of Coimbatore. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The parlor is basically just a few rooms we’ve set up to do hair and skin work. It’s not a fancy spa, just a local place where women can come to get their grooming done without any fuss. We handle everything from basic haircuts to bridal makeup when the season is right. Since we are near the college, we get a lot of young people who want something simple and affordable. We also have older ladies from the colony who have been coming to us since we opened. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. There is usually a bit of talk going on about college exams or local news. We don't use any high-tech machines, just our hands and some standard tools. Sometimes the waiting area gets full, so people just stand outside or chat in the doorway. It’s a very informal setup. We like it that way because it feels more personal. Working in Ramalingam Colony has been good for us. We know the people and they know us. We just try to do a neat job every time so people feel comfortable coming back. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood here.
