You can find Vijayalakshmi Marketing over at number 45 on Avanashi Road. Peelamedu is a busy part of town and being right on the main road means we hear the traffic all day long. It’s a good spot though because everyone knows where Avanashi Road is. The building we’re in is pretty straightforward and we use most of the space for storing what we’re moving that week. It’s mostly about getting products from one place to another and making sure people get what they ordered. We spend a lot of time checking invoices and talking to drivers who are trying to navigate the traffic outside. The office area is just a few desks and some chairs for when people come in to discuss business. It’s not a place for lounging around, that’s for sure. We are usually on our feet or on the phone trying to coordinate things. Sometimes the heat gets into the building and we just have to keep the fans going and keep moving. We’ve been here long enough that we don't need a map to find the best places for lunch nearby. It’s just a regular marketing job where we keep our heads down and do the work. The sign outside has been there for years and we don’t plan on changing much about how we run things.
