Annai Sharadhambal Trader

This is our trading spot over on Ansari Street in Ramnagar. The address is a bit confusing because of the old and new numbering, but we are at 74/1 now, even though the old sign said 50 for the longest time. We mostly deal with local supplies and keep the inventory moving. It’s a tight space with cardboard boxes stacked nearly to the ceiling. My father started this under the name Annai Sharadhambal Trader many years ago. We haven't changed much about the place since he was running it. The street gets really narrow when the big trucks come to unload, so things can get a little hectic in the mornings. We usually sit down for tea around eleven and talk about what orders need to go out that day. It's mostly just regular, everyday work, nothing too exciting. We know most of the people on this block by name. Sometimes the paperwork gets really backed up on the desk, but we catch up on the weekends. The building is an older one, so it stays a bit cool inside even when the sun is beating down on Ramnagar. We keep our doors open most of the day for the breeze. If someone walks in looking for something specific, we check the ledger or look in the back. If we don't have it, we just tell them honestly. It’s how we run things. No big corporate rules or anything. Just a family place trying to keep the business going on Ansari Street.
