Kovai Lakshmi Grinders

Our workshop is at No. 153E - 3B in the Varadhajlu Layout, over in P.N. Palayam. It’s part of the Ganapathy post office area. Kovai Lakshmi Grinders is a place where we’ve been making things for a long time. It’s a local operation, and most of the guys working here live nearby. The layout is a bit tucked away, so you have to know where you’re going to find us. We have the sound of grinding and metal work going on throughout the day. It’s a dusty environment sometimes, but we’re used to it. We keep our tools within arm's reach and the workbench is always covered in something. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us with our sleeves rolled up. We started small and stayed that way because it suits us. We handle the orders as they come in. Sometimes we’re ahead of schedule, and sometimes we’re scrambling to finish. That’s just the nature of the work. The neighbors in P.N. Palayam are good people, and we all look out for each other. We take a lunch break together and then get back to the grinders. It’s not a complicated life. We just make sure the products are solid and move on to the next one. We often keep the radio playing in the background to keep the energy up while we work.
