Our business, Abc Agro & Food Machine (india) Pvt. Ltd., is located at No. 284 on Dr. Ambedkar Road. We’re right in the Velandipalayam area, very close to Avila Convent School. You can usually hear the school bells and the kids playing if you’re here at the right time. The road gets quite a lot of traffic, so there’s always a bit of dust and noise. We work with machines for food and farming. It’s heavy work sometimes, moving parts around and making sure everything is put together right. The workshop is where we spend most of our time. It’s got concrete floors and plenty of tools lying around. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see a machine, they just come into the back where we’re working on them. It’s a bit oily and noisy, but that’s the nature of the business. Our team is just a few local guys who know their way around engines and metal. We don't wear uniforms, just regular clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. There’s a small office in the front where we keep the books, but it’s usually empty because we’re all in the back. We’ve been near the school for years now. People in Velandipalayam know us as the place with the machines. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in. It is a simple operation.
