The Stepping Stone Play School

The Stepping Stone Play School is a small place tucked away in Kaveri Nagar. You can find us at 6/180 X, inside Sri Krishna Garden Phase 2. It is a quiet residential spot off the Pattanam Road. We started this play school because there were not many places for the little children in Vellalore to go. Our rooms are filled with toys, blocks, and various drawings that the kids have made. It is usually quite a loud environment with the toddlers running around and playing together. We spend our days watching over them and helping them learn basic things like colors and shapes. There is usually a lot of glue, paper, and crayons involved in what we do. The floors often get messy by the middle of the day, but we just clean it up once they go home. We have a small outdoor area so the children can get some fresh air. Most of the parents in this part of Pattanam know us because we are right here in the neighborhood. It feels more like a house than a formal institution. We like to keep things simple. There is no big office or corporate structure behind us. It is just a few of us and the kids. We follow a basic schedule that includes snack times and naps. The Vellalore area has seen a lot of growth lately, so we often see new families. It is nice to watch the children make their very first friends here.
