Little Sara Model School

Down at No 6 in East Periyar Nagar, Masakalipalayam, things are usually pretty lively once the clock hits eight. Little Sara Model School sits right in the heart of this Peelamedu neighborhood. It’s a residential area, so we have neighbors all around who see the kids coming and going every day. The school isn't some massive campus you can get lost in. It’s a local place where everyone pretty much knows everyone else’s name. We have some trees that give a bit of shade in the yard, which is nice when the Coimbatore sun gets strong in the afternoons. The classrooms are filled with the usual stuff like charts on the walls and piles of notebooks. Most days are a mix of teaching and just making sure the kids stay out of trouble during their breaks. We see a lot of parents from the 641004 area stopping by to chat or check on how things are going. It’s a very grounded environment. We don't go for anything too flashy. The walls might need a bit of paint here and there, and the playground equipment has its share of scuffs, but it serves the purpose. We just focus on the daily lessons and the small milestones. When the final bell rings at the end of the day, the street gets crowded for a bit as families reunite. Then it goes back to being a quiet part of Masakalipalayam until the next morning. It is just a normal, busy school day for us.
