Sri Harrini Beauty Parlour

Our place is at 6 C, Angalamman Layout 9, right on Lawley Road in Coimbatore. We are very close to the Periya Mariamman Kovil and just across from the church. It is a good spot because people from all over the neighborhood pass by. The shop is on the ground floor. It has a tiled floor and some wooden shelves where we keep the shampoos and creams. We have some posters on the walls that have been there for years. The chairs are the basic hydraulic kind, but one of them sticks a bit when you try to lower it. We have a small sink in the corner for washing hair, and sometimes the pipes make a loud noise when the water runs. It is usually just us here, working through the day. Coimbatore can be very humid, so the fans are always on high. We get a lot of college students from nearby and also older ladies who have lived here forever. We don't have a computer for billing, we just write everything down in a big ledger book. Sometimes we close early if there’s a festival at the Kovil because the streets get too crowded for anyone to reach us. It’s a steady life. We don't have any big plans to expand or move. We just like being part of the layout and seeing familiar faces every day. It’s a honest day’s work for us.
