Sri Ganesh Saloon

Sri Ganesh Saloon is over at No 98 on R G Street. This is right in the Town Hall area of Coimbatore, which is one of the older and more crowded parts of the city. We are located opposite to the Jain Temple, so we hear the bells and see the people going in and out of there all day. The street outside is usually packed with bikes and shoppers. The saloon itself is a straightforward place. We have the standard barber chairs and old-fashioned mirrors that have been there for a bit. It is a small shop, but it has a lot of character from all the years of use. We keep the scissors and combs ready on the counters. The floor usually has a bit of hair on it because we are always cutting, but we sweep it up as often as possible. People from the 641001 neighborhood have been coming here for a long time. It is the kind of place where men come to sit for a bit, get a haircut, and maybe talk about the local news. There is no air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that keep things moving. We don't have any promotional posters or anything like that. It is just a local saloon where the work is honest and the atmosphere is familiar. Every day is just about serving the people who walk in from R G Street.
