B & B Machines

We are over at No. 4-a Sri Devi Nagar 3rd Street in Ganapathy. It is mostly a workshop where we handle different machine parts and repairs. B & B Machines has been in this spot for a while now, and most people in the neighborhood know the sound of our tools. Our day starts early, usually before the sun gets too high, because the shop can get quite warm. We have a few guys who have been working with metal and engines for a long time. The floor is usually covered in some oil or metal shavings, but that is just how a real machine shop looks. We do not have a fancy office or a lobby with chairs. If you come by, you will likely find us hunched over a lathe or fixing a part that someone brought in. We do not spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork. Most of what we do involves our hands and old-fashioned tools. Sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive, so things can get backed up. We just take it one job at a time. It is a noisy environment with all the grinding and clanking, but we are used to it. We drink our tea from the small stall at the corner while we wait for the machines to cool down. It is a simple life of hard work, and we just keep at it every day to make sure the machines that come through our doors are working right again.
