Sreenivasa Beauty Parlour

Sreenivasa Beauty Parlour is located at No. C-25 in Hudco Colony, over on V. K. Road in the Peelamedu area of Coimbatore. I started this shop because I wanted something of my own in my own neighborhood. Peelamedu is a nice place with lots of families, and Hudco Colony is usually quite calm compared to the main roads. We focus on hair and basic beauty stuff for the local women. The shop is set up in a simple way with a few chairs and mirrors. I don't like a lot of clutter, so I try to keep things organized, though sometimes the hair clips and bottles end up everywhere by the end of a long day. I usually work here with one other person. We see a lot of students from the nearby colleges and mothers who have a little bit of free time while their kids are at school. It is a good place to hear the local gossip and find out what is happening in Coimbatore. We don't do any big advertising; we just have our sign out front on V. K. Road. The chairs are a bit old now, but they are comfortable enough. I like the routine of opening up in the morning and sweeping the floor before the first person arrives. It is just a regular shop for regular people.
