You can find us over at Siva Complex on Mettupalayam Road. We’re in Kavundampalayam, right across the street from the Fire and Rescue Station. It’s a busy part of Coimbatore, so there’s always something going on outside our window. We decided to open a salon and spa here because there weren't many places for the locals to go without heading further into the city. The shop is No 5/24-A. It’s not a massive place, but we’ve managed to fit in a few private rooms for the spa treatments. The main room is where the hair cutting and styling happens. It gets a bit loud when all the blow dryers are going at once, and if a fire truck leaves the station with its sirens on, you definitely hear it. We’ve got some older equipment that still works perfectly fine. We aren't interested in all those new-age gadgets that don't really do much. We use products that people recognize and trust. My cousin helps out with the cleaning and the front desk when things get hectic on the weekends. We don't have a fancy uniform, just our normal clothes and an apron. The floor is a bit worn in places where the chairs move, but it shows we’ve had plenty of work. It’s just a simple, honest business. We try to keep things moving and make sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they came in.
