Shrutis Beauty Parlour

Shrutis Beauty Parlour is located at C31 in Sakkarai Chettiyar Nagar. We are over in the Uppilipalayam area of Coimbatore. It is pretty easy to find because we are very close to the Chakkarai Chettiyar Kalyana Mandapam. Whenever there is a big wedding or a function at the mandapam, we stay very busy with people coming in to get ready. On other days, the street is actually quite peaceful. I have lived in this part of Coimbatore my whole life, so I know most of the families who live around here. The parlour is actually just a room in the front of the building that I fixed up with some equipment. It has two styling chairs and a sink for washing hair. I don't have a big neon sign or anything, just a small painted board by the front gate. I do haircuts and some basic facials using herbal stuff I find at the market. It is a very simple business. My daughter helps me tidy up the place after she gets home from school. We aren't trying to compete with the big shops. It is just a way for me to help the local ladies and earn some money for the family. Sometimes the neighbors bring over some tea or snacks while I am working. It feels more like a community spot than a cold shop. We are usually open from morning until evening.
