Rani Saloon

Rani Saloon is located at 385, Sampath Street in the Tatabad area. We are right on the main road, which makes it easy for anyone driving by to spot us. This part of Coimbatore is always active, and we’ve been part of the street for quite some time. The saloon is a straightforward place for men to get a haircut or a shave. We don't have any of those modern gadgets or fancy lighting. It’s just the old-fashioned chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. We keep our scissors sharp and the shaving cream ready. Most of our customers are people who live in the apartments nearby or work in the local shops. They come in, sit down, and we get to work. There isn't a lot of waiting around because we try to be quick with our hands. The radio is usually playing some local tunes in the background to keep things lively. It’s a bit of a small shop, so it can get tight when three or four people are waiting, but nobody seems to mind much. We talk about the local news or the weather while we work. It’s a very normal, everyday kind of business. We open early in the morning because a lot of men like to get their shave before going to the office. It’s just a honest way to earn a living on Sampath Street.
