Raenco Mills Pvt Ltd is out here on Thondamuthur Main Road, near the Sci Post in Veerakeralam. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city center, but it’s where all the work happens. The facility is at 3, 2 and it’s mostly about the machinery and the cotton. You can hear the hum of the equipment from the moment you walk into the yard. It’s a dusty place, which is just how it goes when you’re dealing with textiles on this scale. We have people coming in and out all day, mostly delivery drivers or staff from the local area. The office part is pretty simple, just some desks and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders because we are too busy keeping the production moving. Veerakeralam is a decent place to work, even if the road gets a bit bumpy after the rains. We’ve got a routine down now where everyone knows their job. Some days the heat is a bit much, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything else. We’ve been at this for a while and the goal is just to keep the machines running and the orders going out on time.
