Om Sakthi Kids Care & Play School

The school is tucked away on Subramaniyam Street in R S Puram. Being a play school and kids' care center means Om Sakthi Kids Care & Play School is never really quiet. We start early when the first few toddlers arrive. Some kids are happy to come in, others cry for a bit until they see their favorite toys. We spend our hours cleaning up spills, helping with snacks, and making sure everyone is safe. The building itself is an older one, so it has some quirks. Sometimes the gate squeaks or the fans make a little noise, but we just get on with it. Coimbatore weather can get hot, so we try to keep the rooms as cool as we can. It’s a lot of work looking after small children all day. We aren't trying to be some high-tech facility. It’s just a place where parents can leave their kids while they go to work. We talk to the neighbors often because we’re right here in the middle of a residential street. Usually, we are busy thinking about what needs fixing next or ordering more drawing paper. It’s a local operation. Most of us who work here have been in the neighborhood for a long time. There isn't any big corporate office behind us. It’s just a few of us making sure the kids have a place to stay and play until their parents come back in the evening.
